Measuring 32.5" tall, this black metal safety gate conveniently helps contain children and pets while complementing your home decor. This gate fits spaces from 32 to 48 inches wide, with a door that opens the entire width of the gate making it easy to walk through. A no-threshold design minimizes the chance of tripping. Install it in doorways, hallways, or at the top or bottom of stairs with included hardware (no drilling required for square banisters). Recommended tools for hardware installation (not included): drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape. The Summer Metal Banister and Stair Safety Dog and Baby Gate fits openings 31" to 46" wide and is 32.5" tall; featured on Babylist's "Best Baby Gates for All Your Childproofing Needs" list. With the dual installation kit, the black metal gate can be attached to a wall or to most single and double square and round banisters; no drilling required on square banisters. This baby gate accommodates banister-to-banister and banister to wall installation at the top or bottom of stairs, as well as installation in doorways and hallways. Adults can easily open the toddler gate one-handed; the door opens the entire width of the gate so it's easy to walk through and the no-threshold design minimizes tripping. Be sure it's secure with the locking indicator and a support foot that provides extra stability; the protrusion on the latch prevents door from swinging outward over stairs.

Does the manufacturer's warranty apply?

Unfortunately, most manufacturer warranties do not apply to items purchased secondhand on our site. We do offer a 1 year protection plan if you would like to add that to your purchase. If you prefer a manufacturer warranty with your product, we suggest purchasing brand new from the manufacturer.

How do you determine the condition?

With the largest baby & kid gear database in the industry, we have created an extensive, proprietary quality check process that each item must pass to be listed for resale.

Condition descriptions:

  • Unopened & Overstock – Item is in original packaging and/or has the tags still attached. Box may have damage, but the product has no signs of use and is in new condition.
  • Open Box - Box has been opened and item may or may not have been removed. These products are typically floor models or returns that have been inspected for safety, functionality and cleanliness. Flaws, if any, will be minor. The original box may not be included.
  • Barely Used – Item will show minimal signs of use and may not have the original packaging or tags. 
  • Gently Used – Item may show some signs of use, like minor scratches or stains, but will still be in perfect working order (e.g. battery operated functions all work properly), unless otherwise noted in the comments and/or pictures.
  • Loved – Item shows signs of wear in the form of tears, fabric stains or fading, and may be missing pieces.  Some features or functions may not be working properly, but if the item is not working properly it will be noted.
