Business Operations Manager, Denver CO

Good Buy Gear is seeking a motivated, energetic, team player to dive in and help our team successfully manage the steady growth of our business. This individual will be primarily responsible for day to day operations and deliver on strategy and operational plans from the planning process against the strategic vision for the company and managing business process improvements to promote effective operations . The first three months will be devoted to learning the inner workings of our operations: White Glove pickups, route management, team management, warehouse organization, and inventory fulfillment. 


  • Experience with operational management: measuring performance and tracking and leveraging data to optimize business processes and procedures 

  • Strong organizational management and attention to detail

  • Ability to execute on a specific plan and identify improvements to existing processes

  • Experience working in warehouse operations, shipping, retail, or e-commerce a plus

  • Must have a clean driving record and current Colorado driver's license, be comfortable driving in all weather conditions and able to lift 50 lbs

  • Understand the expectations of workplace safety and use good judgment to create an injury free workplace

A day in the life…

You will play a pivotal role in keeping our customers happy and will help our team successfully execute the day-to-day operations of our growing company. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Help manage the day-to-day operations and deliver on strategic and operational plans from beginning to end

  • Maintain and improve upon the operating rhythm of the business to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet goals and objectives

  • Find and pursue cost reduction opportunities

  • Manage centralized repository of processes and suggest improvements to promote effective operations

  • Manage drivers/delivery service and perform actual driving duties (initially), including picking up seller inventory and delivering buyer orders

  • Manage inventory and warehouse organization including accurately performing intake, conducting inventory reconciliation, facilitating the donation process and optimizing fulfillment, including occasional cleaning of warehouse floors and shelves (initially)

  • Manage fulfillment including picking and plucking the right item, loading delivery vehicle (or staging for delivery service), and coordinating with delivery services

  • Create planning reports to help forecast shipping capacities, cycle times, and queue times. Review plan vs actual with management team. 

  • Supply charts, SOPs, and other visual tools to help plan and optimize warehouse production. Advise management on delays, bottlenecks, late deliveries and other fulfillment issues.

  • Maintain oversight on manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover fulfillment demand.

  • Manage our space(s): play a pivotal role in reviewing leases, warehouse capacity, partner/overflow spaces, etc.
